Ashley obtained her law degree from The University of Alabama School of Law. During law school, Ashley was the editor-in-chief of her school’s law review and participated in several moot court competitions, where she earned top marks for her trial advocacy skills.

During law school, Ashley also worked as a judicial intern with the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and at a personal injury law firm in Birmingham, Alabama where she gained experience working on complex civil litigation cases. Ashley also interned with the Public Defender’s Office in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and was a participant in her law school’s Capital Defense Clinic, where she worked closely with defendants charged with capital murder and facing the possibility of the death penalty. Ashley’s experience in this clinic was a formative time in her life, as she learned that she had immense passion for indigent and criminal defense.

After graduating from law school, Ashley pursued her lifelong dream of moving to Colorado. She worked as a public defender in Aurora, where she began to gain extensive trial and litigation experience. Ashley went on to work as a Deputy State Public Defender in El Paso, Teller, and Denver Counties, where she continued to gain invaluable experience both in and out of the courtroom. Ashley has tried over 50 jury trials during her career, including several high-profile cases of sexual assault and first-degree murder. Ashley has also spent time as a litigation attorney at a large personal injury firm in Denver, where she learned the ins and outs of personal injury law. Ashley’s passion for representing “the underdog” has shaped her career and has led her to opening her own law firm where she can continue to fight zealously for her clients. Whether it’s going up against the state or a large insurance company, Ashley represents her clients aggressively but with empathy, compassion, and integrity. In her free time, Ashley enjoys traveling, cooking, camping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, live music, and skiing.
